ALEXUS' CONFIRMATION 31 OCT 2010

HALLOWEEN 2010

Threw a Halloween Party on 30 October 2010 for Alyssa and some of her classmates. It was tiring but rewarding in seeing the children having so much fun. Most of the kids were dressed to the occassion, and they were all so engrossed in the Halloween. Richard was gracious to accept our invitation and took time to join us amidst his studies. Alyssa said he's the GOH, so they made sure they gave him a "scare" upon his arrival. After a few false alarms of his arrival and failed attempts to scare the GOH, the kids finally had their last laugh when they "scared" him at the toilet (and so they thought).

Coal Mining Disasters

The Coal Mining disasters in Chile and China prompted me to look for the song by Bee Gees : New York Coal Mining Disaster (1941). I learned that the song was penned in memory of the lives lost in the coal mining disaster in and Irish town, Aberfan. Not New York. But the song is beautiful.

Changi Coastal Road

Sunday morning, after leaving Alyssa at the swimming lesson, I ventured further along the Changi Coastal Road. As it was drizzling slightly, and there were few people, it felt so refreshing. Saw some posters on the New Balance Real Run. I thought I should have signed up for it. Maybe next year. I lost track of the time and realised it was 1055 hrs and I was like 3 km away from the swimming pool! Had to brisk walk back. Oops, Alyssa had been waiting.

Lunch At Tonkichi

Brought father and Alyssa to Kallang Leisure Park to collect my race pack on Saturday. Proceeded back to Tampines Mall for lunch at Tonkichi. We really took our time to enjoy the food. Alyssa said she was close to tears because the udon was so yummy and the tempura was so fresh. Somehow, my flu worsened during lunch. Had to get a packet of panadol cold and consumed on the spot and waited for Alyssa's piano class to be over. When I reached home, I popped another dosage and felt myself drifting in and out of consciousness. Thank goodness, I'm ok.

Hit By Flu?

Felt extremely tired last night while at Tampines Mall. And now I am experiencing a runny nose and sore throat despite popping panadols. I think I'm having a bad flu. Felt worse thinking weekend tasks, of the extra coaching classes Alyssa has to attend, and having to go to Kallang leisure park. Alexus is watching me like a hawk, I think he wants to use the PC.
